Jobs for Ex-inmates!

Cities with The Best Jobs- (for Ex-inmates)?
Consistently, the bigger the city the better the jobs and governmentally funded programs! They have more resources and
better jobs for a larger ex-inmate population. The federal Government give more funds to the larger cities.
Cities like New York, California, Chicago, Washington DC. etc. have more employment programs and resources.
The flop side to this is, the larger cities have more crime and vastly larger portions of the population are being put into
jails and prisons. The turn around rate for ex-inmates returning to jails and prisons are high. This reality cancels out the
benefits. There are no easy solutions! Most ex-inmates return back to the towns or cities where they grew up
and are familiar with. But, one of the first things they realize is that jobs are though to come by with a criminal record.
Most ex-inmates are not educated and / or have no formal training to help with the re-entry straggles that await them
The reality of the continuous search for employment without education and experience, often ends in failure,
disappointment, and discouragement. This let down, beat down process, the failure to land a job leads back to criminal
activities and often imprisonment. Some of the larger cities are making the big difference!
Communities are realizing that Job assistance and training for the ex-inmates dose pay off in the long run.
Most of these job assistance and training programs are federally funded.
